Painless Offboarding
You own it. All of it.
Your domain, your accounts, your content, your customer records — set up in your name from day one, organized and documented as we go. If your needs ever change, you leave with your business intact.
Why leaving most vendors is hard
Most businesses don't stay with a website vendor because it keeps earning their business. They stay because leaving feels impossible.
The pattern is always the same: the domain is registered in the agency's name. The analytics live in the agency's account. Nobody can find the credentials. Photos and copy are scattered across inboxes and hard drives. The integrations only make sense to the person who wired them. And the "export" — if one exists — is a pile of files no other professional can use.
None of that is loyalty. It's leverage. We built Arc Moment the opposite way.
The Arc Moment commitment
Painless Offboarding is our standing commitment that you are never trapped by disorder we created or failed to document. Throughout the relationship — not just at the end — we keep organized records of what you own, what we manage on your behalf, which third-party accounts support your site, who has access to each, and where your content and data live.
That commitment doesn't depend on the circumstances. Whether you outgrow us, a better fit comes along, you're unhappy, or we end the engagement ourselves, the handoff stays professional, structured, and complete. Your own business records are never leverage.
We'd rather earn your renewal than engineer your dependency.
What you can expect
If your needs ever change, a structured transition includes:
- Clear ownership. A complete inventory of your accounts and assets — what's yours, what we manage for you, and what happens to each.
- Organized records. Your content, images, leads, contacts, and settings — kept in order all along, not reconstructed from memory at the end.
- Documented systems. What each account and integration does and how the pieces connect, written for a competent professional, not just for us.
- Usable exports. Your data in organized, durable formats, assembled into a structured handoff package where applicable.
- Transition notes. Practical guidance a successor vendor needs to take over without guesswork.
Built in from the beginning
Offboarding readiness isn't a service we perform at the end — it's how we set things up at the start.
During onboarding, accounts that represent your business identity — your domain, advertising accounts, analytics, scheduling — are created in your name whenever practical, with Arc Moment working inside them through delegated access. Your content, records, and configuration are inventoried and documented as part of normal operations. So the question "what do we have, and where is it?" always has a current answer — your website is never a black box, including to you.
Reasonable boundaries
"Painless" describes the organization and support you can expect — not magic. In fairness to both sides:
- A transition is structured, not one-click. Moving to a new platform still takes real work by whoever builds your next system; we make sure they start with order instead of archaeology.
- We can't speak for other platforms. Your exports are organized and documented, but we can't promise any particular vendor's system will ingest them directly.
- Credentials are handled carefully. Access and secrets are transferred, rotated, or retired through a secure process — never dumped in a file.
- Included support has a scope. A structured handoff and reasonable transition questions are part of the promise; extended migration consulting or rebuild work for a new vendor is separate, scoped work.
Common questions
What happens if we decide to leave Arc Moment?
You leave with your business intact. Most of your accounts — domain, advertising, analytics, scheduling — are already in your name, so they simply stay with you. We provide your records in an organized export, an inventory of your accounts, and the documentation a new vendor needs to take over. We support this for every departure, whatever the reason.
Who owns our domain, accounts, content, and data?
You do, wherever practical — set up in your name from day one, with Arc Moment working through delegated access. Where we manage something on your behalf, it's documented as such, and the client-specific parts are exported or transferred during a handoff. Third-party licenses (stock media, fonts) are documented honestly rather than misrepresented as yours.
Will another developer or agency be able to understand the system?
That's the standard we document to. A competent professional receives your account inventory, organized exports, and plain-language notes on how your site, data, and integrations fit together. The shared platform Arc Moment runs on stays ours — but everything specific to your business leaves with you, explained.
Does Painless Offboarding mean migration is automatic?
No. It means the transition is organized and supported instead of chaotic. Today it's a structured process our team runs with you; we're building more tooling around it over time. What we rule out is the real cost of leaving most vendors: hunting for ownership, access, and records that were never kept in order.
What happens to credentials and access after we part ways?
Access we held to your accounts is returned to you or removed. Credentials we managed on your behalf are securely transferred, rotated, or retired — and anything sensitive moves through a controlled channel, never a file in an inbox.
